Despite being a 2D game, it should not be underestimated.

Really well made and such a tribute to the dark souls genre. Salt and Sanctuary does not have long distance vision and copy and paste environments which makes navigation confusing and easy to get lost in.

Quests in Salt and Sanctuary are simple NPC requests or progression lines that the player must follow to obtain certain rewards..

A huge risk that led to huge popularity results with Salt and Sanctuary being one of the best games in the following years.
