I listened out of curiosity. Science was bit basic for me as I posses some knowledge of the subject but it's perfect gift for my nephew who has shown interest and keeps asking me to explain this stuff to him. We’d love your help. I was hoping that this would be a good addition to my library, but I was quite disappointed. Tyson went on to earn his BA in Physics from Harvard and his PhD in Astrophysics from Columbia.
I would recommend anyone who is interested in astronomy, but daunted by the term “astrophysics” to read this version prior to the adult. Neil deGrasse Tyson has a way of explaining complicated scientific theories in a way that allows you (the average reader with little to no background in science) to understand them.

Persevering through the physics & chemistry was all worth it just for that. Couldn't put this book down. Neil deGrasse Tyson is one of our leading science writers who has a talent for making complicated ideas built of math and physics accessible to people who aren't experts in those fields. That’s cool!
